As the costs of college escalate and student loans top $1 trillion, a new survey of high school students by the College Savings Foundation shows that kids are confused about how to pay for college.

CSF will address this need for parents, students and teachers at a FREE forum "Making Sense of College Costs", on Friday, March 9th from 1:00-4:00 pm at the DoubleTree, 181 Church Street, Charleston.

For parents and their college-bound children, the most important question after "How do I get into college?" is "How do I pay for it?"

To answer these questions, the College Savings Foundation is presenting:

-- Mark Kantrowitz, the nation’s “go to” expert on the topic and creator of FinAid.org, who will address Getting the Most of Financial Aid Resources: --How to find a balance among savings, income, aid and loans to pay for college
--An easy calculator for what you’ll need for college---How much aid and grants can parents expect?
-- South Carolina Treasurer Curtis M. Loftis, Jr.
-- Donald Burkard, Associate Vice President for Enrollment Planning, College of Charleston, on The College Admission Process: What Parents and Students Need to Know
