Fire burns home in McClellanville

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Awendaw firefighters are working to determine the cause of a fire that burned a home on 2 Pines Road in McClellanville Tuesday night.

According to Battalion Chief Joseph Bowers, they received the call around 8:00 p.m., but firefighters struggled to find the home.

"We couldn't see the address marked correctly and as you can see when you came down here, where the structure is from the road, it's a good wooded area and it's hard to see," said Bowers.

The fire started on the back porch of the three story home, and the damage is extensive.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire.
