Florida post office manager serves employees 'poop' cake

Everyone enjoys a piece of cake, but this cake...

Workers at this Cape Coral Post Office found this cake, crafted by the post office manager, to look like poop because the office received a bad score one day.

This cake could've gone two ways: it could either make people laugh, or get them angry.

It did number two.

On Saturday afternoon the line was out the door, and in that line was a mystery shopper, and because that mystery shopper had to wait more than 25 minutes, this post office score already dropped to a 75.

Occasionally post offices get rated on a scale based out of 100 from mystery shoppers.

That day, they were understaffed, but no matter how big the line is, the US postal service requires workers ask a list of questions to every customer.

The number the post office got was 48-percent.

The poop cake representing the "poopy day" backfired.
The U.S. Postal Service released a statement saying "This unfortunate incident demonstrates poor judgment on the part of the responsible party, and does not represent the professionalism of postal managers in the local community and across the country. The postal service apologizes to employees who were offended."

What was intended to lighten the mood, did just the opposite.

"I have never seen anything like that. And I don't think its funny…" said one of the employees.
