Black congressmen say racial slurs during health care protest reminder of '60s

A sweeping bill overhauling the U.S. medical system goes to President Barack Obama's desk on to be signed into law.

The House passed the measure late Sunday, delivering a historic victory to Obama, who had made it his number one domestic priority.

The bill passed in a 219 to 212 vote with all Republicans opposing it, along with 34 Democrats.

The debate got ugly at times during the days leading up to the vote.

Georgia Congressman and civil rights leader John Lewis talks about the racist epithets thrown at him and others, including South Carolina's James Clyburn, on Saturday by demonstrators outside the
Capitol building.
