Water Missions sends clean water systems to Haiti

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

Water Missions International is working to bring clean drinking water to earthquake victims in Haiti.

The organization has developed water purification systems to turn bacteria laden waters into water safe to drink.

Water Missions International says each system can treat 10,000 gallons of water a day, enough to provide for 5,000 people daily in a disaster.

The organization sent two systems to Haiti Wednesday. They will be sending ten tonight and will send ten more this weekend.

The units are powered by solar panels that operate pumps to purify water from ponds or streams.

Water Missions International has provided safe drinking water to more than 1.5 million people in over 40
countries.

Donations are much needed to keep their efforts ongoing. You can donated by going to their website www.watermissions.org or by calling 1-866-280-7107.
