As the cleanup continues in the aftermath of Tuesday’s devastating earthquake, an Upstate family awaits word on their father.
Dr. Frank Garlock is a preacher, professor, and father to Shelly Hamilton. Garlock has spent his life doing mission work, and the 79-year-old owner of Majesty Music had just left for Haiti last week.
“He actually called yesterday and missed me, spoke to our office manager and said everything was going well, the meetings were going well.“, says Hamilton. But hours later, the family got the terrible news. “We had someone call here, and say have you heard, so we knew almost immediately, but it has unfolded since then. No word from anybody over there.“
No word from her father. For now, she waits by the phone, with prayers and scripture for strength.
