» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

Republican Tim Scott announced that he is a candidate for Congress in 2010.

Scott's website now says, "Tim Scott, Republican for Congress", and there is a press release that explains "why we need Tim Scott representing the 1st District of South Carolina in the US House of Representatives in Washington, DC."

As soon as Rep. Henry Brown announced that he would retire at the end of his term, Scott's name rose to the top as a potential candidate.

Scott will join an already crowded field which includes, Paul Thurmond, and Carroll Campbell III.
