Jenny Sanford's book "Staying True" has hit shelves nationwide, and several stores here in the Lowcountry are already reporting good sales, but not everyone is in a hurry to buy.
Carol and Sanford Maxson both say at some point they'll pick up a copy, but there's no rush.
Sanford Maxson said, "In my opinion, it just seems like every time something like this comes up, someone writes a book about it."
We also spoke with Eric and Vesna Solheim who say they don't plan on buying the book because they think it's inappropriate.
"I'm sure this has affected the children, and I'm not sure of what good use publishing this book would be for the children also."
Some of the revelations of the book include a chapter where Sanford writes " Mark told me that he didn't want to use a wedding vow that included a promise to be faithful." In a different chapter she says, " His requests to see his lover now were almost frantic in tone. He even asked if we could formally separate for one week so his visit would be legally permissible."
Her divorce is expected to be finalized later this month, and on February 13th she will hold a book signing for "Staying True" at the Barnes and Noble in Town Centre.
