Business leaders along the South Carolina coast are getting a chance to see the state's ports up close.

Business leaders along the South Carolina coast are getting a chance to see the state's ports up close.

Thursday is the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce's annual port briefing and tour. Business leaders are getting a chance to tour the state's port facilities both by bus and by boat.

The tour includes existing facilities as well as the new port terminal under construction at the old Charleston naval base.

The tour also includes a briefing with Jim Newsome, the president and CEO of the South Carolina State Ports Authority.
