Congressman Joe Wilson's congressional website down

While attempting to do research on South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson, we found that his congressional website is not working. The message now reads, 'Due to exceptionally high traffic, this site is temporarily unavailable.'

News 2 also tried to contact Wilson's office by phone this morning. Over the course of at least an hour, the line remained busy.

We will continue to try contacting Wilson's people to determine if the website crashed because of the overwhelming web traffic, or if they took it down.

Wilson is facing a lot of criticism for his outburst during President Barack Obama's speech to Congress, and the American people Wednesday night. Wilson shouted, 'you lie', when Mr. Obama said his plan does not provide coverage for illegal immigrants.
