For the past few weeks, we've watched Attorney General Henry McMaster and Craigslist battle over adult ads. But, what do the women behind those ads think about the controversy?
The owner of a Lowcountry escort agency says there are a few bad people who are giving the entire adult industry a bad name.
We will call her "Jane" and not identify the name of her business to protect her identity.
She says there is prostitution on Craigslist, but there are also legitimate and egal adult services there as well.
She thinks that McMaster is going too far, but agrees there are people who are up to no good on the site and there should be regulations.
"Jane" says that her agency is not a prostitution ring and that she is licensed for entertainment by Charleston County like a strip club.
She thinks all the ladies in the adult services section of Craigslist should be forced to get licenses. If they get arrested for misbehavior, she wants those licenses revoked.
"Jane" says that her employees are typically in their early twenties and college students trying to make ends meet.
