Boil Water Advisory Still under Effect for Residents in the Honey Hill and Shulerville Areas
Friday, June 19, 2009 – A boil water advisory is still in effect for Berkeley County Water and Sanitation customers in the Honey Hill and Shulerville area, on Highway 17A north of Highway 45.
A water main was damage in this area and in order to facilitate the repair the main was shut down. Once pressure has been restored BCWS will be flushing the mains and taking water samples to ensure safe drinking water is restored to your home. At this time sampling is still being conducted.
Until further notification, residents are asked to boil all water that is used for drinking, cooking, and making ice prior to use. To ensure the destruction of all harmful bacteria, the water should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil, and then boiled for an additional minute.
Residents may call 843.572.4400 if they have any questions.
