Tonight, construction workers continue development on a two-year plan to widen Interstate 26. But, they are running into some problems.
News 2 spoke with Earl Capps, spokesman for U.S. Group, the company working on the road and he said he's never seen motorists behaving as badly as they are traveling through the construction zone. "Last night alone there were two accidents and today, some nuts through a can of coke at one of the workers," Capps said.
During the next few weeks, workers will continue shutting down lanes in both directions and the Highway Patrol is out in force, looking for people who are violating the speed limit in the construction zone.
