Sheriff Deputies say a car chase started at Dorchester Industrial Avenue in North Charleston at around 5 this afternoon. It ended about an hour later at the intersection of Woodlawn and Azalea Drive.

Officials say the chase started when they tried to set up a sting operation using an undercover officer to arrest 19-year old Harrold Junes on outstanding warrants in relation to a stolen vehicle. Junes didn’t show up at the location to meet the undercover officer. Deputies spotted Junes near Dorchester Industrial Avenue. A marked cruiser tried to pull him over. That’s when the chase ensued. Junes wrecked his car, then he stole another vehicle to continue the chase.

Junes hit three cars during the chase. After wrecking his second car, he got out on foot. Officers were able to finally arrest him at the intersection of Woodlawn and Azalea Drive.

He is being held at the Charleston County Detention Center on felony charges of a stolen vehicle. Deputies say more charges are pending.
