The North Charleston Police Department will hold a news conference at 2 p.m. Wednesday to offer new details in the investigation of the kidnapping of an infant from a post office.

The NCPD sent News 2 an email Tuesday announcing the news conference, but gave no other information.

Police say Andrea Walker took one-month-old Angel Perez from his car seat on November 23rd. Lidia Juarez left the baby inside the running car while she ran into the post office on Rivers Avenue.

A tip led police to a home in Summerville about 48 hours later, where they found Perez safe and sound.

Prosecutors charged Walker with kidnapping, but did not file any charges against the mother at that time.

This is a developing story, please check back frequently.
