Skip a lunch, feed a bunch

September 1st, the Lowcountry Food Bank kicks-off Hunger Action Month with “Skip A Lunch Feed A Bunch.” All community members, business leaders, organizations and individuals are encouraged to join in by skipping lunch and donating that day’s lunch money towards the Lowcountry Food Bank in honor of the thousands of food insecure families, children and elderly throughout the Lowcountry. Every dollar creates 10 meals and the Lowcountry Food Bank’s goal is to create 50,000 meals!

The Lowcountry Food Bank encourages all community members, business leaders, organizations and individuals to join in by skipping lunch and donating that day’s lunch money towards the Lowcountry Food Bank in honor of the thousands of food insecure families, children and elderly throughout the Lowcountry. Organizations and groups are encouraged to nominate a “Hunger Champion” to help motivate fellow co-workers and organization members to participate. The top winning teams will receive recognition on the Lowcountry Food Bank’s website for an entire year.
The Lowcountry Food Bank joins more than 200 Feeding America food banks across the country and provides a variety of ways for the community to fight hunger during Hunger Action Month! Skip A Lunch Feed A Bunch is the Lowcountry Food Bank’s first call to action for Hunger Action Month. Every dollar creates 10 meals and the Lowcountry Food Bank’s goal is to create 50,000 meals.
