CHARLESTON, SC- No matter, sleet, snow, or attacking robber, the mail must go through.
Wednesday morning, shortly after 10, a robber approached Pinehaven Branch Letter Carrier Abraham Brown and demanded the mail in his hand.
Mr. Brown refused, and when the perpetrator looked like he was reaching for a weapon, he pepper sprayed him. Brown and the mail got away safely. The suspect was apprehended by the N. Charleston Police Dept.
Mr. Brown was unharmed but took the rest of the day off.
His mail arrived at it's appropriate destinations later in the day.
