My News 2: Pairing wine with food

» 0 Comments | Post a Comment

The Charleston Wine and Food Festival is a celebration of all things food. It's a chance to introduce your taste buds to new flavors and cooking techniques.

There are several chances to sample wine and learn about food and wine pairings which we previewed on Today’s show.

Advanced Sommelier Patrick Emerson with Maverick Southern Kitchens joined me on My News 2. We looked at two different Pinot Noir:

Row Eleven "Vinas 3" Pinot Noir 2007
*pairs great with spicy tuna rolls, pork loin, duck breast

Lioco Pinot Noir - Anderson Valley, Mendocino 2008
*Pairs well with Salmon Tartare, spit roasted lamb
