Three to four million Americans have an eye disease known at glaucoma, and about half don't realize they have it. January is national eye care and glaucoma awareness month so we are looking at the warning signs and ways you can prevent it.

Five ways to maintain good eye health
1. Seek regular eye examinations with an eye care professional
2. Protect your eyes by wearing sunglasses
3. Do not smoke
4. Keep your diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol under control
5. Wear safety glasses/goggles when performing high risk activities
