NBC's acclaimed drama, "Friday Night Lights", returns for a third season starting Friday night.
"Friday Night Lights" returns with familiar faces and a few new ones, including former "Northern Exposure" star Janine Turner.
"She's got fake nails, fake tan, and a fake few other things," said Turner.
She's also got a son who's the hot new player in town.
There's already one shakeup at Dillon High.
Connie Britton’s character has ascended from guidance counselor to principal.
"Who knew? It's going to be lots of challenges being principal. Not so easy," said actress Connie Britton.
Not that life's easy for anyone in this small town.
"It's all these different lives that weave together in this community and that's real life," Britton said.
It's also a real kick for the cast and crew.
"If I couldn't enjoy this job, I don't need to be in this business," said actor Kyle chandler.
"Friday Night Lights" airs Fridays at 9pm eastern.
