Erosion on Folly Beach

While Hanna has come and gone, the grounds remain saturated by some 3-6” of rain that fell on Friday and early Saturday.  We now focus our attention on a cold front which will be heading into the Southeast in the next couple of day.  High pressure which provided a beautiful weekend and nice Monday is drifting offshore.  The high will work with Hurricane Ike down to our south to produce a strong onshore wind component.  This will draw in quite a bit of tropical moisture which could cause some pockets of heavy rain across our area on Wednesday and Thursday.  We will certainly monitor that closely with Storm Team 2 Live VIPIR since grounds are saturated from Hanna rains.
