Crippling amounts of ice possible in Midwest, Ohio Valley
A major winter storm will develop over the next couple of days bringing the potential for crippling amounts of ice to many Midwestern and Ohio Valley cities.
The almost perfect setup for a damaging ice storm is developing from eastern Oklahoma northeast through Arkansas, Missouri, northwest Tennessee, and Kentucky through tomorrow. By mid-week, the threat will shift to the Virginias and Ohio as a massive winter storm peaks in intensity.
On the northern side of the ice zone, heavy snow could develop, especially over interior section of the Northeast.
