Miami leery of dangerous Clemson

MIAMI (AP) - To say Clemson is overdue for a big win might be a
bit of an understatement.
And that’s one of many reasons why No. 8 Miami considers the
Tigers to be very dangerous right now.
With a football history dating back to 1896, Clemson has never
lost nine straight games to ranked opponents. That’s the fate the
Tigers (3-3, 2-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) will try to avoid
Saturday when they visit the Hurricanes (5-1, 2-1).
Clemson’s last win against an AP Top 25 team was Sept. 3, 2007,
against Florida State. The Tigers are 0-8 since, outscored 215-141.
Miami has a streak at stake as well. It’s won six straight at
home, its best run since 26 straight from 1999-2003.
