COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina leading scorer Brionna
Dickerson will be out at least two weeks because of an injured
right knee.
The school said Tuesday that Dickerson will be re-examined in
two weeks and her status updated. Dickerson was injured in the
first half of the Gamecocks 66-56 loss to Vanderbilt on Sunday.
Dickerson, a senior, was averaging 13.4 points a game. She also
led the team with 31 3-pointers, more than double anyone else on
the roster.
Dickerson could miss at least the next three games - against LSU
on Thursday night, at Kentucky on Feb. 5 and against Mississippi on
Feb. 8.
Dickerson is the second South Carolina starter injured in as
many games. Senior forward Demetress Adams suffered a season-ending
injury when she hurt her right knee during a game Jan. 22.
