Danny Wade Rousey has been charged with assault and battery with intent to kill after he fired two rounds at William Callegari on Monday at an open field next to the intersection of McCants Road and Brigger Hill Rd on Wadmalaw Island.

After first reporting a shooting on Wadmalaw as a hunting accident, authorites have now arrested a man and say it was a deliberate act.

A Wadmalaw Island man is behind bars, charged in connection to a shooting.
