High pressure is building into the Lowcountry and will bring a couple of very nice days before things head downhill late this week. Tropical Storm Hanna continues to have her eyes set on the Southeast coastline.

Hurricane Hanna continues to strengthen over the Bahamas with maximum sustained winds near 80 miles per hour.  Hanna is a category one hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

After a day where we were dodging raindrops from time to time, it looks like the next couple of days will be very quiet.  We expect that the impact from Hurricane Hanna will be felt later in the week, maybe beginning as early as Thursday afternoon or evening.

Tropical Storm Hanna begins to organize as it continues to churn east of the Bahamas. 

Hurricane Gustav is roaring toward the Lousiana coastline with Hurricane warnings are now in effect as preparations to protect life and property are being rushed to completion.

Hurricane Gustav strengthened rapidly overnight and is now a dangerous category 3 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson scale.

A very warm day is ahead across the Lowcountry with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. The great weather continues through the holiday weekend with lots of sunshine and only a small chance of rain.

Tropical Storms Gustav and Hannah are likely to become hurricanes by the weekend. Gustav likely to become a major hurricane and poses a significant threat to the central Gulf of Mexico.

Hanna strengthens northeast of the Leeward Islands with maximum sustained winds of 50 mph.

The center of Gustav moves slowly along the Jamaican coastline and is expected to strengthen into a hurricane on Friday.
