A group of storm chasers caught one large tornado on tape as it touched down near the town of Aurora, where it damaged a dog food plant and several homes before lifting back up.

Update: Tornado Watch until 7PM, Thunderstorm Warnings Issued

A Tornado Watch is in effect for part of the Lowcountry until 7PM this evening. A strong line of thunderstorms are moving through this afternoon bringing the threat of damaging winds.

Stormy Thursday Forecast

Showers and thunderstorms will be widespread throughout today. Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from late morning into the afternoon. Damaging wind gusts are possible along with an isolated tornado or two.
