Michigan competitors fire up their outhouses in a race for speed. From monkeys to Elvis, all thems were covered at the Annual Outhouse Classic on February 27th.

Ready Set Cure

The Race for the Cure is the largest single fundraiser for the Komen Lowcountry Race for the Cure, which fights breast cancer in 13 counties along the South Carolina coast. It happens Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 9:10am on Daniel Island.

Bridge Run Expo stays put

An earlier recommendation from the Cooper River Bridge run staff to move 2 day expo from the Gailliard Municipal Auditorium to the Charleston Area Convention Center in North Charleston failed. The expo is March 25th and 26th.

Ready, set, wait Charleston marathon scheduled

If you start training now you will be ready for the 2011 full marathon in Charleston.  But before you can get to 26.2 you must run at least 13.1 miles.  Charleston’s first 1/2 marathon is January 2010 and benefits the Keith and Deborah Summey Youth Endowment for the Arts.
