Officials in Walterboro say they have enough people in the area to handle the crimes. Governor Mark Sanford stood alongside other state and local officials in Walterboro to discuss the progress in the investigation of multiple shootings this week.

As SC legislators discuss impeachment proceedings against Governor Mark Sanford, the State Ethics Commission is conducting it’s own investigation.  Meantime, Lt. Governor Andre’ Bauer is now being criticized for asking the Governor to step down so that he can promote his own polictical agenda.

Today, South Carolina Lt. Governor Andre Bauer talked with News 2 about the recent scandal involving Governor Mark Sanford.

Palmetto Family Council, a South Carolina faith-based public policy group, announced Monday that it’s launched an online “Stand with Jenny” campaign encouraging support of First Lady Jenny Sanford.

News 2 asked him to confirm that he had been telling lawmakers that, if Gov. Mark Sanford resigned, Bauer would be willing to serve the remainder of Sanford’s term and not run for governor himself.
