Researchers are examining whether laser beams stimulate blood flow to the scalp of chemotherapy patients. Developers say the extra blood flow increases cell metabolism and enables damaged blood vessels and cells in the hair follicles to regenerate. The healthier hair follicle should then be able to support new hair growth.
