Medical:Focus on antibiotic use and abuse

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control is working to make sure families are informed about antibiotics.  They are supplying each branch of the public library system in South Carolina with books for parents and children to check out and read about antibiotic safety.

Librarians fighting Google’s book deal

A $125 million settlement agreement was reached last October that gave Google the right to make millions of books available for reading and purchase on the Internet and but now Google is facing off against a legion of librarians and, possibly, the U.S. Justice Department.
