Hanna is gone, what’s next?
Hanna left behind some 3-6” of rain across the Lowcountry on Friday and Saturday. There is a pretty good chance that Ike may help to contribute
to more rain for us.

Sunday Weather Discussion
A few more clouds will be around today then on Saturday. A weak disturbance will also allow for a few showers and thunderstorms to build up during the afternoon, although most folks will stay dry. Temperatures will continue to be above average with highs in the low 90’s.

Emergency Operations Center Closed
The Charleston County Emergency Operations Center Closed, however, Charleston County Government will remain at OPCON 4 while emergency management staff continue to monitor Hurricane Ike.
Shellfish Beds Closed
Heavy rains from Tropical Storm Hanna have forced the closing of several shellfish areas along the South Carolina coast.
The Lowcountry is back to normal

Lowcountry Residents Boarding up homes
Some people are starting to board up their homes in Georgetown County as the track for Hanna moves closer to their homes near the coast.
Charleston County urging people to stay off streets during storm
Charleston Country Emergency Preparedness Director Cathy Haynes said Friday the storm has tracked farther west and may bring gusts of 70 mph and storm surge of three feet to the area.
Shelters open in Charleston County
County leaders have also called for a voluntary evacuation for people living east of Highway 17 and anyone living in low-lying areas or in a mobile home.

Voluntary Evacuations in Georgetown County
Voluntary evacuations are in effect for portions of Georgetown County east of Hwy. 17. Officials are also encouraging those who live in low lying areas and mobile homes throughout the County to evacuate at this time.
