Arsonist destroys home of woman who designed sculptures for Charleston 9
Tami Brock was so moved by the sacrifice firefighters in Charleston made after the furniture store fire that claimed 9 of their own, she commissioned sculptures to honor the fallen and had them placed at each victim’s fire station.

Lowcountry Red Cross assists in 10th house fire in the last week
American Red Cross volunteers were called to the scene of a home fire in Ridgeville earlier this morning. The Red Cross is providing financial assistance to two adults for food and clothing lost in the fire, and replacement of lost medicines and eye glasses. This house fire represents the 10th Lowcountry fire in the past week that Red Cross volunteers have been called to assist victims of house fires.
