According to a new study shows college students who use the 200 million–member social network have significantly lower grade-point averages (GPAs) than those who do not.

A cool day is on the way today as highs struggle to reach the middle to upper 50’s. Clear skies and light winds tonight will lead to a cold morning start on Wednesday. Overnight lows will range from the upper 20’s well inland to the middle 30’s along the coast.

Showers are possible this afternoon and evening. Can’t rule out a few rumbles of thunder as well. High temperatures by Tuesday will struggle to reach the middle 50’s.

The popular online social network, facebook, has been deluged with feedback, much of it negative, on its new layout.  The site is making a handful of changes to appease some of the outraged masses.

Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 11AM Monday as visibilities will be reduced to less than one-quarter of a mile at times.

Cloudy, cool and breezy conditions have settled into the Lowcountry and will stick with us into the weekend. Scattered showers will become more likely by the end of the weekend.

Expert says it’s a good idea to limit the amount of time we spend on social networking sites to no more than one or two hours a day.
