Devon Forest in Goose Creek more than 3 times normal voting

Poll manager Jacqueline tells me that out of about 4,000 registered voters in the Devon Forest precinct, she estimates 1,500 have voted so far today.

Carnes Crossroads in Berkeley county, more than 1500 votes so far

At Carnes Crossroads II, the voting in the fire department has been taking place all day.  The turnout there also much, much higher than usual.

Obama and McCain fight to the finish

The turnout looks massive. From “McCain-safe” South Carolina to Florida to Pennsylvania, from Ohio to Colorado, the big battleground states that will decide this election, voters are jamming the polls.

Summerville high school polls near 50% turnout already

I just went into the Summerville high school polling location.  There are 3 precincts voting here, and all 3 are at or near 50% voter turnout.

1760 Votes already at Sangaree polls

News 2 stopped by the polls at Sangaree Elementary, and the lines wrapped around the inside halls of the school.  We spoke with a poll manager who tells us 1760 people have already voted.
