An Arctic air mass will charge south over the next 36 to 48 hours bringing very cold air to the Lowcountry by Thursday night.

Forecasters say Thursday and Friday will likely be the coldest days this week, with temperatures rising in time for the weekend.

Plenty of sunshine is expected today with high temperatures in the upper 50s.  Rain becomes likely late tonight into Tuesday with the threat of very cold air on the table by the end of the work week.
