Craigslist has withdrawn its request that South Carolina’s attorney general be temporarily prevented from pursuing prostitution-related charges against the company.

South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster has withdrawn from a group studying the problem of Internet predators on social networking sites after a report downplayed threats that children face online.

He’s hospitalized for the night, but said to be conscious, alert, and talking. Mukasey is 67 years old.
