Storm Team 2 Meteorologist Josh Marthers arrived in the South Carolina Lowcountry in May of 2007 and can be seen weekdays on News 2 Today and News 2 at Noon.

Josh graduated Cum Laude from Mississippi State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geosciences, concentrating in both meteorology and climatology. As a native South Carolinian, Josh understands the unique factors that define our weather in the Lowcountry.

Throughout his time in college, peers and faculty recognized Josh for his commitment to academic excellence and community service. He served as president of two honor societies and was active in several campus organizations. While at Mississippi State, he was chosen by the administration as a President's Scholar.

Professionally, Josh is a member of both the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society.

Josh resides in Mount Pleasant. He is a big music fan (especially Jimmy Buffett) and jumps at any chance to hear live music performances.
