Tara Lynn is the co-anchor for News 2 Today and News 2 Midday. She first joined News 2 in June 2006 as a reporter and producer. Tara also organizes and heads the internship program at News 2.

Tara graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned her bachelor's degree in Electronic Journalism and a minor in Spanish. Tara reported and anchored for the University's Emmy-winning live newscast, Carolina Week.

She also learned the ropes of the news business as an intern at WTVD in Durham, North Carolina, as well as Cox Broadcasting's Washington News Bureau in D.C.

A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, Tara appreciates the Lowcountry's southern charm, rich history, and great seafood. She enjoys volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sister, working out, cooking, and cheering on the Tar Heels.
