Partial recount begins

Iran’s top legislative body is ready to recount a random ten percent of the votes in last week’s Presidential election.

The announcement was made on state television today.

Iran’s guardian council made the decision,saying it will recount ten percent of the votes even though its not required to do so.

The coucnil met after a week of street protests by supporters of defeated moderate Presidential Candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi, following the re-election of hardline President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad
