WWI mass graves to be exhumed in France
During a WWI battle in a northern French village, thousands of British and Australian troops were killed or wounded on a single night. There were so many dead that many were never found or identified, never given a proper burial. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission will begin a 15-month project to disinter, identify, and rebury bodies and they estimate there are between 225 and 400 bodies in the pits.
