Gov. Sanford has until Midnight to veto bills

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina’s governor is facing a deadline on whether to veto a bill adding new limits to the payday lending industry.
   
Gov. Mark Sanford has until midnight Tuesday to decide the fate of that bill and dozens others sent to him last week.
   
The payday lending legislation bars companies from issuing more than one $550 loan at a time and requires a one-day wait between loans.
   
That’s the best known of 66 bills awaiting his decisions.
   
Others include an overhaul of the State Ports Authority board, allowing people with concealed weapons permits to have guns in cars when they drive onto school property and updated laws on handicapped parking restrictions.
