South Carolina politician arrested in cemetery with strip club worker

A South Carolina prosecutor and former legislator is out of a job after an alleged rendezvous with a stripper behind a cemetery.

“It’s almost textbook perfect,“ said Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter.

That’s how he described how his officer handled a traffic stop Monday that came after the officer says he found Assistant State Attorney General Rowland Corning and an 18-year-old woman down a one-lane dirt drive behind a cemetery.

Police say the woman works at a strip club.

Corning told the officer he worked for the Attorney General.

Then the officer called the Attorney General’s office to verify that.

Moments later, both Corning and the young woman were released.

“The conduct that is reflected in that report, the conduct that was relayed to us and has been confirmed is inappropriate conduct,“ said Attorney General Henry McMaster, Corning’s boss.

McMaster said he gave Corning two options, resign or be fired.

Ironic isn't it? McMaster's wants to attack prostitution (Craigslist) and his little people are doing field research. LOL Didn't take much for this item to die on the back pages.
