SC woman accidentally killed in her driveway

Authorities say a 13-year-old Aiken boy accidentally killed his mother in their driveway as he tried to move the family’s vehicle.
   
Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton says 42-year-old Paula Phillips died when the sport utility vehicle ran over her about 4:15 p.m. Thursday.
   
Witnesses told authorities the teenager and his friends were clearing the driveway to play basketball and Phillips allowed her son to move the vehicle. Witnesses said she was giving him driving directions when he accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
   
Authorities said the teenager will not be charged.
