SC police arrest 21 in underage drinking bust

Police say they have charged a 41-year-old woman and 20 teens and young adults in an underage drinking bust.

York County sheriff’s Capt. Allen Brandon says Michelle Renee Boucher and the others were arrested early Sunday morning.

Brandon says Boucher hosted the party to celebrate her daughter’s 18th birthday and provided two kegs of beer. Boucher was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and transfer of beer to a minor. The others were charged with underage possession of alcohol and one teen also was charged with possession of marijuana.

A telephone number could not be found for Boucher and Brandon says he doesn’t know whether she has an attorney.

Deputies went to the party after stopping a car with two teens and a 20-year-old.
