A South Carolina man suspected of killing his wife after kidnapping her from her job has been found dead.

Greenwood County Coroner Jim Coursey says an autopsy shows 29-year-old Jimmy Maurice Elmore died Thursday morning from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators have said Jimmy Elmore was seen on surveillance video at his wife’s convenience store early Sunday morning. They say 28-year-old Dietra Elmore of Greenwood was found dead a short time later.

The coroner’s office says an autopsy shows she was shot in the back of the head and run over.

Police had issued a murder warrant for Jimmy Elmore.
