SC man killed in stabbing with pronged garden tool

Sumter police say a 31-year-old South Carolina man has been killed after an acquaintance stabbed him with a garden tool during a fight.
Multiple media outlets report that Carlos Lincoln died Saturday afternoon, shortly after he was struck in the chest with a potato rake, a tool which has four sharp prongs on the end to help pull weeds.
Investigators say Lincoln was arguing with 21-year-old Reginald Gass.
Coroner Harvin Bullock says Lincoln grabbed a piece of wood and swung at Gass, who then picked up the garden tool.
Gass has been charged with murder and remains in jail. It wasn’t immediately clear if he had an attorney.
Investigators continue to review the fight to see if Gass acted in self-defense.
