SC agents charge ex-administrator with lewd act

The State Law Enforcement Division says a former school administrator had sexual contact with students more than 30 years ago.
   
State agents arrested 67-year-old Stephen Eubanks of North Augusta on Tuesday.
   
Authorities say Eubanks had sex with a 16-year-old girl and attempted to have sex with a 14-year-old male student and gave him alcohol between 1975 and 1977.
   
Eubanks remains at the Aiken County jail awaiting a bond hearing on several charges. Jail records indicated he did not have an attorney and a message left at his home was not immediatelyreturned,
   
SLED says its investigation continues and has set up a hotline to gather more information about Eubanks, who also was an administrator in Georgetown and Lancaster counties.
