Real estate manager shot because he didn’t get customer’s money back fast enough

A South Carolina judge has denied bond for an 88-year-old man who police say shot and wounded a real estate manager in a money dispute. Prosecutors asked the judge on Monday to keep Richard Blow Sr. in jail.
They say he’s a desperate man dying of cancer who told police arresting him that he could get away with the shooting because he would be dead before the trial. Authorities say Blow shot Jerry O’Neill three weeks ago at the Coldwell Banker office he managed in Rock Hill.
Blow is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill. Prosecutors say Blow was angry because it had taken several months to get back $1,000 he put down to buy a house for his daughter.
Several members of Blow’s church were in court, vouching for his character and asking for him to be released.
