SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina company that makes drapery fabrics and window coverings says it will lay off nearly two dozen employees.

ADO Corp. of Spartanburg said Monday the work force reduction comes because of the continued slump in the housing and building industry.

ADO Corp. is laying off 23 of its 137 employees in Spartanburg.

The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reported the company was laying off one supervisor and a number of production workers. Two clerical employees were laid off last month.

Human Resources director Rick Sloan said there were no plans for additional cuts.
